13 by 9 inch pan lined with tinfoil
1 cup butter, cut into pieces
6 oz unsweetened chocolate course chopped (6 squares)
2 cups granulated sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 pkg Skor toffee bits (227 g)
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
In a medium saucepan melt butter and chocolate over medium heat stirring OFTEN until melted and smooth. Remove from heat; stir in sugar. Beat eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt to make a smooth batter.
Spread evenly in prepared baking pan. Bake on middle rack in preheated oven for 18 minutes or until top is ALMOST set. Sprinkle Skor bits over the top and return pan to oven.
Bake for 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in centre comes out with a few moist crumbs clinging to it.
Place pan on rack; sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let stand for 5 minutes or until chocolate is melted. Spread evenly. Let cool in the fridge until chocolate is set.
Leave out until brownies are room temp. Lift carefully out of the pan. Remove foil and cut into bars by using a sharp knife.
