Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

Posted by Melissa Gordon on 2018/10/06

I’m so excited for the first weekend of October! With the weather cooling down and Halloween on the way, there are so many great events to check out throughout our community.

My first stop Saturday will be the Burlington Mall Lions Club Farmers’ Market. From 8am until 2pm stop by and grab any groceries that you might need for Thanksgiving. After that it’s off to the Stuff the Bus event at 1770 Stone Church Road East. From 9am until 4pm look for the big yellow school bus and donate some non-perishable food items for the Neighbour 2 Neighbour Food Bank.

Then it’s off to the Hanes Corn Maze in Dundas just off of Highway 5. From 9am until 10pm you can swing by and try to find your way out of the giant corn maze. For my last stop of the day I’ll be hanging out at the Norfolk County Fair. You can check out the midway, exhibits or grab a candy apple.

Sunday Morning will start off at the Mississauga Lions Club Farmers’ Market at 3 Robert Speck Parkway. From 8am until 3pm, you can shop from over 60 different vendors. After that I’ll be at Mountsberg Conservation Area in Hamilton for their Spooktactular Event. From 10am until 4pm bring the kids by for the birds of prey show or haunted barn.

For my last stop of the day I’ll be at the Rockton Fair over at the Rockton Fairgrounds. Check out the games, rides, shows and more until 9am and on Thanksgiving Monday too.

Thanksgiving Monday I’ll be at the Dundas Valley Conservation Area to enjoy some hiking trails. After that I’ll be hanging out at Westfield Heritage Village in Rockton. From noon until 4pm you can see some demonstrations or tour over 35 different historic buildings.

For my last stop of the long weekend I’ll be parked over at Memorial Park in Waterdown having a KX Winsticker Drive-Thru.

You can stop by these events anytime but if you stop by while I’m there, you can grab your KX 94.7 Winsticker and come say hi at the cruiser!

And as always don’t forget to post your own non-profit or charity event on our Events Page.  I could bring the KX 94.7 Events Cruiser right to you!

Let’s have some fun in KX Country!
