Hey August Long Weekend!!

Posted by Melissa Gordon on 2018/08/04

Another long weekend in KX Country, which means a lot of stuff going on if you’re in the area!!

My first stop Saturday will be the Long weekend Blood Drive in Hamilton at 35 Stone Church Road. Stop by from 8am until 2pm to make an appointment to donate blood. After that I’ll be at the Ottawa Street Farmers’ Market in Hamilton where from 7am until 3pm you can shop from a huge selection of local produce.

Then it’s off to the Dutch Mill for the 10th Annual Classic Car Show in support of Animal Adoptions of Flamborough. Swing by from 8am until 3pm to check out some classic cars, grab a bite to eat or enjoy some live entertainment. For my last stop of the day I’ll be at the Community Archaeology Dig at the Erland Lee Museum in Stoney Creek. Enjoy a tour of the museum and learn about archaeology from 10am until 4pm.

Sunday Morning will start off at the Ice Cream Carnival at Westfield Heritage Village in Rockton! Drop by with the whole family from 10am until 4pm to sample ice cream and play old carnival games! After that I’ll be at the Ancaster Cat Show at the Ancaster Fairgrounds to meet over 100 cats until 4pm

For my last stop of the day I’ll be at the Rockton Fairgrounds for the Festival of Witchcraft and Wizardry. From 8am until 8pm test our your magic skills or learn a few new ones with a portion of the proceeds supporting multiple local charities.

Holiday Monday will kick off over at LaSalle Park in Burlington for the Joseph Brant Day Festival. This free family event is taking place from 11am until 4pm featuring vendors, live entertainment, exhibits and more. After that I’ll be hanging out at City View Park in Burlington for a KX Winsticker Drive- Thru and for my last stop of the long weekend you can find me at the Christie Lake Conservation Area walking some trails!

You can stop by these events anytime but if you stop by while I’m there, you can grab your KX 94.7 Winsticker and come say hi at the cruiser!

And as always don’t forget to post your own non-profit or charity event on our Events Page.  I could bring the KX 94.7 Events Cruiser right to you!

Let’s have some fun in KX Country!
