Kitty Wells "The Queen of Country" passed away yesterday at her home in Tennessee. Kitty was the first female country singer to hit #1 in 1952 with the song "It wasn't God who created honky tonk angels." She was admitted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1976 and again in 1991 she became the first female country star to recieve a Grammy lifetime achievement award. Kitty Wells was 92.

 

 

 

Happy Birthday to Luke Bryan who turns 36 today! 

 

 

Dierks Bentley thought the song 5-1-5-0 was the dumbest thing he had ever heard! He initially wasn't a fan of the tune so it took some convinving from co-writer Brett Beavers. Brett kept singing the chours, until finally Dierks agreed to work on the song and as they say, the rest is history!

 

 

Chris Young has posted this photo to both his Facebook and Twitter, which shows Chris sporting a red and purple bruise over his eyelid after a little accident involving his guitar. "See guys...YOU can almost give yourself a black eye with a guitar", Chris wrote on his Facebook page.
