Rascal Flatts Themed Restaurants a No Go

Posted by Alysha McIntyre on 2019/03/15

The Arizona Republic is reporting that Rascal Flatts pulled the plug on a licensing agreement that would allow a developer to use the band's name, logo and image to build restaurants all over the country. According to the story, the company hired to oversee the project was a front for a man named Frank Capri, which is the new identity of a third generation mobster named Frank Gioia Jr. He took the new identity when he entered Witness Protection after turning on more than 70 mobsters. Over the years, he's been using a company with no attachments to his name to raise money for projects and then he wouldn't pay sub-contractors, broke leases and kept the money for himself. He had been previously responsible for building 20 of Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill locations and had planned to open 20 more, but that never happened. All but one location had closed by 2015 because of money problems and a number of lawsuits.
