Winter fun for everyone!!!

Posted by Melissa Gordon on 2017/02/11

With the warmer weather on the way, it has me dreaming about Spring!! I have a few great events for you to check out this weekend with them all being pretty local, so grab your keys and hit the road!

My first stop Saturday will be the Sweetheart breakfast in Freelton at 10 Douglas Street. Just in time for Valentine’s Day stop by from 8am until noon to enjoy eggs, pancakes and more. After that, catch me at the Ice Fishing Derby at Valens Conservation Area. From 9am until 2pm grab your fishing gear and try to win some great prizes.

Then I’ll make my way to the Book Exchange and Café in Hamilton at 170 Dundurn Ave South. Bring 6 books and go home with 7 or more and also enjoy some coffee and treats with proceeds supporting Blooms for Africa. My Last stop of the day will be the Try Hamilton event at Ferguson Station. From noon until 5pm check out local business, and enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride.

Sunday Morning will start off at the Centremount Winterfest at Bruce Park in Hamilton. From noon until 4pm enjoy games, hockey, skating and more for free. After that I’ll be at the Dundas Valley School of Art for their Free Family Art Day. Paint, draw or try out pottery making all for free from 2pm until 4pm.

My last weekend stop will be Beasley Park Winterfest also in Hamilton. From noon until 5pm check out this free family event as they will have skating, live music, games and more.

You can stop by these events anytime but if you stop by while I’m there, you can grab your KX 94.7 Winsticker and come say hi at the cruiser!

And as always don’t forget to post your own non-profit or charity event on our Events Page.  I could bring the KX 94.7 Events Cruiser right to you!

Let’s have some fun in KX Country!
