Well it’s certainly feeling like Fall as the temperatures have started to drop!
It looks like we could be in store for some rain this weekend, so don’t forget to grab a jacket and an umbrella if you plan on stopping by one of the fantastic events happening in KX Country.
My first stop Saturday will be the Dorval Crossing Farmers Market in Oakville. You can stop by and shop from 8am until 2pm and grab a few extra things for that upcoming Thanksgiving feast. After that I’ll be at the Fall Shred Event at the Halton Regional Police Headquarters in Oakville. From 10am until 2pm you can swing by with any unwanted documents to be safely shredded with proceeds supporting Halton Crime Stoppers.
Then I’ll be hanging out at Mississauga’s first ever Stuff-a-Bus Event at the Real Canadian Superstore at 3045 Mavis Road. You can drop off some non-perishable food items from 10am until 5pm with donations supporting the Mississauga Food Bank. For my last stop of the day, I’ll be hanging out at the Hamilton Huskies Hockey Night at Chedoke Arena in Hamilton. Stop by for a fun afternoon from 12pm until 4pm and don’t forget to bring a food donation for Food4Kids.
Sunday I will be spending my morning at the Cram-a-Cruiser at Fortinos in Burlington located at the corner of Highway 5 and Appleby Line. The Halton Regional Police will be there from 12pm until 4pm collecting food donations for the local food bank. Then it’s off to Westfield Heritage Village for “A Taste of Warm Bread”. This event will be going on from 12:30pm until 4pm and features bread-making demonstrations, games and of course samples of freshly baked bread.
For my last stop of the weekend I’ll be hanging out at the Dundas Studio Tour, which is taking place at multiple locations across Dundas. From 11am until 5pm, you can stop by any of participating art studios for free and view the amazing artwork!
You can stop by these events anytime but if you stop by while I’m there, you can grab your KX 94.7 Winsticker and come say hi at the cruiser!
And as always don’t forget to post your own non-profit or charity event on our Events Page. I could bring the KX 94.7 Events Cruiser right to you!
Let’s have some fun in KX Country!
