EASTER SEALS LAUNCHES 21 TIMES CHALLENGE IN SUPPORT OF KIDS WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES
Communities are invited to participate in the 21 Times Challenge.
Easter Seals Ontario, in collaboration with its fellow regional offices throughout the province have launched the 21 Times Challenge in support of raising funds for kids with disabilities.
“COVID-19 has forced the postponement of many of our fundraising events which are a large source of revenue for Easter Seals,” “However, the children who require assistance for essential equipment can’t wait. We currently have over $1 million in requests from families who are in desperate need of mobility and accessibility equipment for their children. So, we need to find new ways of generating funds to make sure these children don’t go without.”
To help create awareness and raise funds, Easter Seals Ontario launched its 21 Times Challenge where individuals are invited to creatively come up with and perform an activity 21 times, post it to their social media platforms and then donate $21 dollars via www.EasterSeals.org/21times. They are also asked to tag 3 other individuals to take the 21 Times Challenge, make the donation and pass it on. All posts are asked to use the hash #21TimesChallenge and tag @EasterSealsOn.
“We have been working tremendously hard with the community to support Easter Seals children and families,” continues (staff name). “As awareness has grown, so too has the challenge to empower others to spread the word and lend support not just here but across the province.”
Easter Seals Ontario has been a champion of children and youth with physical disabilities from all ethnic and religious backgrounds for the past 98 years. Funds generated support essential mobility and accessibility equipment, such as wheelchairs, walkers, ramps and lifts, for kids with physical disabilities, as well as opportunities for kids to experience fun, friendship and participation at fully accessible Easter Seals camps. Easter Seals is only able to provide its programs with the generous support of its donors and sponsors.
