
Back in the day when Blake Shelton was first starting out you may recall he wore a black, mostly, cowboy hat.
Some started to refer to him as a "hat act". That didn't sit well with Blake and he eventually ditched the hat. Blake says he never really understood why. "What does that mean, a hat act? Like, I still don't really know what that means. It's just stupid, these terms that get attached to people. It's like, I'm not a hat act, I'm just a country singer. My hat doesn't define me. I just put that on because that's what we did at home."
