Retirement could be in the near future for Darius Rucker.

During a recent interview when he was asked about retirement, his response was "two years." Darius went on to say that he likes making records and playing, but he's really starting to like being home a lot.

Before his career as a solo artist started in 2008, Darius was the frontman for Hootie & the Blowfish. His plan is to end his career with the group.

"I'm looking at maybe doing a tour, one more big Hootie thing...if we call it, I gotta do one more Hootie thing," Darius says. "Cause we have to finish at Williams-Brice Stadium. Our last show, when we say we're done, it's gotta be at Williams-Brice Stadium."

That's the stadium that's attached to the University of South Carolina, where Darius first met his Hootie & the Blowfish band mates. Many of their earlier shows were on campus.
