Lauren Alaina and her husband Cam Arnold are sharing the story behind their daughter's name, Beni Doll Arnold.
According to Lauren, she got to pick the baby's first name and Cam chose her middle name. Both names are very sentimental to the couple. Beni came from Lauren's grandfather, Papa Benny. "He helped raise me," she says. "He taught me how to play basketball. He bought me my first karaoke machine. If he was alive, he would tell you that he's the reason I got where I am because he bought me that karaoke machine. He was very proud of that." The couple later discovered that the name "Beni" means "crimson" in Japanese. That meaning became even more special to Lauren because of her late father's love for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Cam revealed that the name Doll comes from his Aunt - Lucy Doll Arnold. "She was born on our family farm where my parents live now," shares Cam. "Been in the family for over 200 years and she's just been a big part of our family, and she's never had kids, so it was just a little nod to keep her name in the family and pass it along."
