Miranda Lambert's clothing choices are being celebrated in a new display.
The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame will feature clothing items from Miranda's Las Vegas residency. “Miranda Lambert: Velvet Rodeo” will be the first display featured in the museum’s new Icons Gallery when the expansion opens on November 7. The 16,000-square-foot expansion will feature new galleries and experiences that explore the accomplishments and influence of women of the West. Created in partnership with Miranda, the exhibition will showcase the one-of-a-kind wardrobe that she wore during her Velvet Rodeo residency that ran from 2022 through 2024.
Many of the styles showcased in the museum inspired her glamourous looks.
“When I first visited the National Cowgirl Museum, I was so inspired by all of the amazing Western pieces on display that I sent a bunch of photos to my stylist, Tiffany. We mixed that inspiration with the heyday of Elvis to create the ‘Velvet Rodeo’ wardrobe,” recalls Miranda. “Seeing these pieces now have a life beyond the stage as part of the Museum’s new Icons Gallery feels really full circle and special.”
The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame is home to more than 4,000 artifacts celebrating the legacies of artists, ranchers, rodeo champions, activists and trailblazers who have helped shape the West, while also recognizing the women who continue to break barriers today. With more than 260 women recognized in its Hall of Fame, the museum aims to carry their stories forward and inspire future generations
The 50th National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on November 5.
