Toby Keith has died at the age of 62 after a battle with stomach cancer. In June 2022, Toby announced that he had been diagnosed the previous fall and was receiving chemo and radiation therapy, as well as having surgery. During his three-decade career, Toby released 24 studio and compilation albums and 2 Christmas projects. Twenty of his singles went to number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Toby took home the Country Music Icon Award at the Inaugural People's Choice Country Awards in 2023. The news of his death was shared in a post on social media. "Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5th surrounded by his family," the announcement reads. "He fought his fight with grace and courage." Toby is survived by his wife of 39 years, Tricia Lucus, and children Shelley, Krystal and Stelen.
