Zach Bryan has been sharing his mental health struggles on social media.
He wrote in a November 18th Instagram post that he is two months sober, and that the decision to quit drinking came after a 20-day solo motorcycle trip across the U.S. "Being in the military for a decade and then thrown into a spotlight that I hadn't fully comprehended the scope of had some subconscious effects on me as a person," he wrote. "I was not content but also feared showing weakness because that's not who I am or how I was raised." Zach says that he used alcohol to cope with his "perpetual discontent." He also talked about suffering from "earth-shattering panic attacks." He's seeing a therapist to help him work through his toxic relationship with alcohol and to teach him to deal with major life changes. Zach also implored anyone who is "too tough, too stubborn, too scared" to reach out for help to seek support. "Know that the most stubborn dumbass on the planet did and doesn't regret it," he writes.
