Walker Hayes has just announced his Duck Buck Tour. It will kick off in late April and will continue into August. The name of the tour is an inside joke between Walker and his fans. It goes back to the release of his Country Stuff album. The title track features the lyric "I like shooting ducks and bucks." The "Duck Buck" morphed into an animal design that is now featured on his merchandise and social media. Ingrid Andress will be joining him for the tour, with Breland and Ray Fulcher joining them for select shows. Chris Lane and Nicolle Galyon will appear at one special show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.
Scotty McCreery has tour plans for the winter and spring. The 2023 Damn Strait Tour will take him to 22 cities across America starting next month in Oklahoma and ending in April. The new dad says he is really enjoying spending time at home with his family, but is excited to hit the road again next year.
After passing her U.S. citizenship test earlier this year, Lindsay Ell has received the final paperwork and is now a dual citizen. She shared the news in a post on social media. "The past 11 years have been quite the journey," Lindsay wrote in her post. "So many blood, sweat and tears relocating to a place where I knew no one to start building a life. Funny that to the day, I signed my record deal 10 years ago. Let this be a reminder that you can do WHATEVER you want to in life if you want it badly enough."
Fox has cancelled the country music soap opera Monarch after just one season. It starred Trace Adkins and Susan Sarandon. Shania Twain, Martina McBride, Tanya Tucker and Little Big Town all made cameo appearances on the show. It debuted with reasonable ratings, but struggled with negative reviews.
The Voice Season 22 wraps up tonight and tomorrow night. The final episode will be full of superstar performances, including Kane Brown and Breland. Kane will perform alongside Blake Shelton and Breland is performing by himself. The episodes will air at 8pm on NBC.
Ashley McBryde is officially the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry. She was inducted during Saturday night's live show. Terri Clark brought Ashley to the stage, and kicked off the night with a rendition of her 2019 single, "Girl Goin' Nowhere." "This moment is the biggest of my life," Ashley said during her acceptance speech. "And if it's your first time to be at the Opry, this is what it feels like every time you are here. It looks like it's made of brick and mortar, but it is pure, pure love. That is what you are experiencing. Thank you. I know what this means. I know what my responsibilities are, and I take this very seriously. And God bless country music." There were a couple of surprises for her during the evening including a backstage visit from Wynonna Judd and Eric Church joining Ashley for a performance of "Bible and a .44," which they performed together during his 2017 Holding My Own Tour.
Shania Twain changed the lyrics to her 1997 hit "That Don't Impress Me Much" while performing it at the People's Choice Awards this week.
"Ok, so you're Ryan Reynolds" she sang (original lyric says Brad Pitt).
To which you see the camera pan to Reynolds and you can see him and the crowd begin to laugh and you can see him mouth "Oh my god, me?"
